Un día como hoy, 9 de octubre, de 1940 nació John Winston Lennon, músico por vocación, pacifista por convicción y genio por naturaleza. John ha inspirado a innumerables generaciones a través de su música, tanto en The Beatles como en su carrera solista.
Personalmente, su música ha calado en mí y me ha hecho reflexionar millones de veces sobre la condición humana; lo malo y lo bueno y qué es lo que hacemos por cambiar las cosas en un mundo donde reina el conformismo "pro-tragicogriego"... Es verdad que la maldad existe y siempre va a existir, es verdad que las cosas están harto mal... ¿Pero si no empezamos a cambiar las cosas ahora, cuándo lo haremos? Imagina qué hubiera pasado si quienes nos precedieron no hubieran tenido la filosofía "es imposible cambiar las cosas"... ¿No estaríamos algo mejor? En fin... Cada uno es dueño de su forma de pensar, sentir y, sobre todo, de sus decisiones.
No sé ustedes, pero yo sí imagino un mundo mejor.
Gracias por tanta música y compromiso, John... Gracias por darte y darle al resto una chance de cambiar al mundo.
